Happy Birthday

Out of the six billion people in this world, it is estimated that 3,999,999,999 people celebrate the same birthday.  However, on that special day many people choose different ways to celebrate it.  For Ron Rice's 70th birthday party, it was celebrated in the backyard with close friends and family members.  A much different picture than the Sweet Sixteens and Bar Mitzvah.

Meeting with humanitarian, Greg Mortenson

Greg Mortenson is an author who is known for building schools in the Middle East.  Since I work at a local bookshop, I had the pleasure of meeting Mortenson while he was in town talking about his book, Stones Into School.  Mortenson signed over 200 books during the event, and spoke on a personal level to each individual.
